Inaugural Wing Eating Contest

Prizes:
- 1st Prize: $500
- 2nd Prize: $250
- 3rd Prize: $100
Contest:
- The competition will be open to all members of the Community.
- There will be a maximum of 30 competitors allowed to register.
- There will be two series of “Heats”. Heat 1: The Primaries and Heat 2: The Finals.
- The competitors will be split into two groups for Heat 1.
- The top five competitors from each group will move on to Heat 2.
- Heat 2 will consist of 10 competitors.
- The temperature of the wings will increase from Heat 1 to Heat 2.
- Each competitor will receive a free t-shirt and prize for participating in the event.
Heat 1:
- Competitors will have 2 and a half minutes to consume as many wings as possible.
- At the conclusion of the 2 and a half minutes judges will examine and count each competitors’ wings.
- The Top 5 competitors of each Heat 1 will move on to Heat 2: The Finals.
- There will be 1 cup of water, 1 cup of milk, 1 napkin and either 1 blue cheese dressing or 1 ranch dressing supplied to each contestant to be used at their discretion.
Heat 2:
- This Heat will consist of 10 competitors; the top 5 competitors from each bracket of Heat 1.
- Each competitor will have 60 seconds to eat as many wings as possible; the first competitor from Heat 2 to consume their plate of wings will be deemed the winner.
- There will be 1 cup of water and 1 napkin supplied to each contestant to be used at their discretion.
Rules:
- All competitors must be at least 18 years of age and in good health
- Professional eaters, persons recognized by the AICE, the IFOCE or members of any professional eating organization are not eligible.
- All competitors must arrive one hour prior to event for Check-In and must sign a waiver to participate.
- All competitors must adequately eat their chicken wing leaving nothing but bone and minimal meat on the bone.
- After a competitor finishes their wing they are to place it in their wing bowl.
- Competitors may eat seated or standing.
- There will be no dipping of wings into any drinking glasses.
- Competitors are not to make physical contact with another competitor at any time.
- The use of utensils is not allowed.
- Chicken must be eaten directly off the bone.
- Competitors may not touch the wing baskets or the wings in the basket before the contest.
- Judges will examine and count each competitors chicken wing and deem if they are acceptable. If a chicken wing is not adequately eaten, the judge will dispose of the wing and it will not be counted in the competitors’ final wing count. (Prior to the event, every competitor will have an opportunity to see an example of an adequately eaten wing as well as an inadequately eaten wing.)
- If there is a tie between contestants, the Chief Judge will announce the tie breaker challenge at the event.
- Judges rules are final.
Disqualifications:
- If at any point during a Round a competitor is to leave the table, that competitor will be disqualified.
- If at any point between Round 1 and the conclusion of Round 2 a competitor is to vomit (out of their mouth), that competitor will be disqualified.
- If at any time a competitor is to leave the designated area after the start of the event, that competitor will be disqualified.
- If at any time a competitor deliberately touches another competitor, that competitor will be disqualified.
- If at any time a wing is dipped into a drinking glass and consumed, that competitor will be disqualified. (If a wing is accidentally dropped in a drinking glass, the competitor is to put the wing in their bowl and it will not be counted.)

Contest is limited to 30 contestants, therefore your registration cannot be considered complete without payment.
NOTE: All contestants must sign a waiver at the registration table on the day of the event.
