People need to follow the rules of water safety. They are putting others who have to go in and save them at risk for their lives. Grateful that everyone is safe including the Lifeguards and all the emergency workers!
The ocean could not have been any calmer. If you don’t know how to swim, stay out of the water.
The golden rule is to never go in the water after 6pm. It’s a testament to the expertise of the LB lifeguard patrol that no one was killed in ignoring this rule.
I grew up in long beach .there are rules and regulations regarding swimming and any other activities on the ocean. High tide low tide rip tides ,under currents no life guard after sunset . Even during day time lifeguard will call swimmers back if you go to far out to prevent drowning. These people should be charged for being out on the ocean after sunset no lifeguards . Not following beach and town rules .
The ocean is no Joke
Always the same people.
What is the fine for swimmers after lifeguards are off duty?
I witnessed the rescue at Monroe. True heroes at work. Thank you!
Who swims after 6pm????
I witnessed some of it last night from The Long Beach Boardwalk the guys and gals who helped out a true heroes thank you all.. it's a lot quieter tonight as of now
I would never go even close to Reynolds channel. ๐
I witnessed the laurelton rescue and it was incredible. I should mention those same kids had just been pulled out by the lifeguards 45 min prior and then decided to go back in after they went off duty๐คฆโ๏ธ. They are so lucky to be alive and I am thankful no one else lost their life rescuing them.
No sharks involved! Use your head in and around the water!
The ocean is like booze- it’ll take ya down
Was this due to rip currents?
The rip was strong yesterday...BRAVO to our brave firefighters and lifeguards!!
Thank goodness the lifeguards were still close and fd were quick to arrive. And wife took 8 y/old twins to our beach Franklin yesterday afternoon 3-6 and said water was absolutely beautiful, no pull.
Wow! Great work. Thank you!
Thank you for your service! Perhaps people should not swim after the lifeguards are off duty. They were all very lucky.
