Chief Marino started as a “junior” firefighter at age 14 in the Elmont Fire department. In 2003 he officially started his Firematic career in Engine 2 within that department. In 2006 he joined the Long Beach Fire Department and quickly rose to the rank of Captain of Engine Company 2344. He eventually moved to Hook & Ladder Company #2 where he rose to the rank of Captain in that company as well. Throughout his career he achieved many certifications within the Fire Service Industry including Hazmat, Arson Recognition, Assistant Fire Inspector and CFR. In addition, he has been awarded the Class A Lifesaving Certification for his heroic efforts in 2020. His working knowledge of mechanical equipment, truck maintenance and apparatus have been a tremendous asset within the Long beach Fire Department.
