Lt Golden died of a heart attack after completing his tour of duty, following a working fire.
Joined the LBFD as a volunteer firefighter on October 1, 1947 and was assigned to Engine 1. He became the Company Captain in 1951 and was appointed a career firefighter on July 5 1952. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 1962 and served until his death in 1968.
